The Confessions of a Planned Parenthood Propaganda Piece--Thanks Dr. Marc Newman

Dr. Marc Newman, of Speaker for Life, a prolife debate and speaker trainer, offers the below pamphlet. This is a 1944 Planned Parenthood Foundation propaganda piece promoting birth control. What is most interesting about it, though, is the answer to the question “Is it [i.e., birth control] an abortion?” From their own tongue, PP’s response is that abortion is murder, something they’ve been denying for the four decades of legalized abortion debate. They say, “Abortion kills the life of the baby after it has begun...birth control merely postpones the beginning of life.” In a public forum PP would deny this until they were red in tooth and claw! When I read it, a verse from Job came to the front of my mind: “Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I: yea, thine own lips testify against thee” (15:6). It goes on to warn of the daunting prospects of the mother with reference to abortion. “It is dangerous to your life and health. It may make you sterile so that when you want a child you cannot have it.” Oh, how the times—and propaganda—have changed. Get a copy of this from Dr. Marc’s blog.
